When should I tell the landlord if I want to move out?
</aside>
Even if you plan to move out at the end of your contract term, you must notify the landlord of your move-out at least 2 months in advance. Under Korean housing law, if neither the landlord nor the tenant mentions the contract extension before the contract ends, the lease will automatically be renewed. So if you don’t notify your move-out, the landlord may assume you intend to continue living in the property beyond the lease term.
