2. Service Restrictions

Checkmate acts solely as an intermediary to facilitate the provision of information and payments.We are not responsible for any agreements or contracts entered into between the user and third-party property owners or agents.

3. Provisional Deposit Policy

The provisional deposit is non-refundable.Even if you decide not to proceed with the property after making the payment, you will not be entitled to a refund.

4. Agency Fee

The agency fee does not belong to Checkmate but is paid to the real estate agency managing the property. The fee may vary depending on the building type and the amount of deposit and rent agreed upon.

5. Completion of Service

Once the service is completed, we will not provide an additional list of housing options, even if you are dissatisfied with the property you contract.

6. Responsibility of Real Estate Agents

While a real estate agent may assist with your housing search, they are not responsible for handling daily life difficulties or complaints regarding housing conditions.

7. Availability of Properties

Properties are subject to availability and may be taken by residents or other clients while you are deciding, as housing options are not exclusive to Checkmate.

8. Provisional Deposit Delays

Your desired property may be taken by others even after you have sent the provisional deposit due to delays in international transfers.In such cases, the full amount of the provisional deposit will be refunded. Checkmate will safely hold the provisional deposit and will either remit it upon successful contract execution or cover the transfer fees in the case of a refund.

9. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information they provide and for complying with all applicable laws in connection with the use of our services. We are not responsible for any post-contractual agreements between the user and third-party property owners or agents.
